red bull snowscrapers

on more snowboarding news this week, we of course headed out to the red bull snowscrapers downtown. we painfully battled the bitter cold while the 16 top snowboarders battled it out on that killer 90 foot ramp. shayne pospisil wins first place and pockets a cool 50 g's, while terje haakosen gets props for best trick, dropping in with his back foot unstrapped and kicks a one-footed method air.

over on the west coast, andy checked out the Snowsports Industry America (SIA) show in vegas. he took lots of dope snaps of some sick designs and fresh gear rollin out for the 09/10 season.

ride snowboards

one of dd's designs makes the top 30 entries in this year's Snowboard Art Contest for Ride Snowboards! holla! we'll be bringin it even harder for next year, since first prize gets their design on a board. how sweet is that?! check out all the finalists here. and if you happen to live in Seattle, check out the reception event this saturday, where the top entries will be featured in their gallery for the month of february.
