sayHear // voters haters opinonaters

election day is finally here and while the media is not reporting projections until the polls are closed, sayHear is an interesting website (stumbled upon via JoshSpear), that allows people to call in and record a short message of why they are voting for Obama, McCain, other or not voting. the site keeps callers anonymous, showing only a record of your area code and state.
while some callers give an earnest reason, you will hear some not so serious ones i.e: "I voted McCain because I was kicked in the head by a mule as a kid."

update: listen to the nytimes version of what people are saying after the election. (no prank callers on this one. it's the nytimes!)

this beautiful piece called chinese take out by the talented allen gaoiran was created in reaction to the disrespect the US Olympic commentary had on traditional chinese cuisine in beijing. (haaaters...) the copy wrapping around the boxes read "chinese american take-out food". this piece is now being auctioned off for charity. gorgeous! and nice comping skills allen!

our lime brand identity for morris street partners was recently published in debbie millman's book, "the essential principles of graphic design". big shout out to debbie for another book on how creatives get their shit together. this makes for a cool resource for students, a different approach to design textbooks since each case is written up by designers in the industry. nice one there andy!
